If someone is already garnishing my wages, can they garnish my bank account and taxes too?

A civil judgment creditor in Utah can garnish up to 25% of your wages, until they are paid in full.  While doing a wage garnishment, they can also try to garnish or levy your tax refund.  Even worse, they can attempt bank levies and see if they can hit the bank account on a day when there’s actually money in it.

Just because they’re doing one form of garnishment doesn’t stop them from coming after your taxes or bank accounts.  And yes, bankruptcy stops garnishment.
